BioIm a wife and mother. A writer, a reader. A gamer.
I've published some short stories and poetry yet life has intervened over the past couple of years. Im trying to find my groove again. My struggle with depression and bipolar disorder have disrupted my writing career and Im only now coming to terms with my condition and how to live.
I used to identify myself as goth, and I still do to some extent, but I also found it limiting. I've learned to live outside the narrow confines of definitions. I still like the darker side of life and art but that doesnt encompass all I am or all I like.
My writing is mostly in the fantasy or horror genres although again, I write what I need to write. Words have always been my first love, from the time I first picked up a book to read, and a pen to write. I find harmony and peace when writing and listening to music. I usually groove to goth, industrial, 80s new wave, dark ambient, deathrock and apocalyptic folk.
As a writer, I try to find inspiration all around - from people and overheard snippets of seeming randomness, to art, music and books, to the changing light of the seasons, and the din of traffic echoing through the city...
I like meeting people who can inspire me and make me think - whether they are fellow writers, or painters, poets, crafters or photographers.
